Overall Responsibilities

Overall Description of Duties: 

The manager will act as an internal investigator/facilitator, working across multiple departments dealing with
uncertainty in supply chain, transformations, delivery, and customer demand. This role will verify end-to-end
operational process completeness and accuracy in the Supply Chain ensuring protection of revenue through
investigation and verification of potential risks and claims. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 
  •  Identify and determine risks and causes of revenue leakage within the supply chain, primarily relating to
    logistics

  • Develop KPI’s and data reporting tools surrounding lost revenue and risk exposures

  • Ensure that business performance is measured, analyzed, explained, and understood through the delivery
    of KPI’s

  • Develop a strategy for mitigating risks and implement a plan for execution

  • Identify potential areas of development in the current processes and work streams, working with relevant
    departments to provide timely solutions

  • Perform investigative tasks to uncover root causes relating to claims of overages, shortages, damages, and
    returns (OSDR) with both inbound and outbound shipments

  • Work with vendors, carriers, and customers to identify a MUTUALLY acceptable process for receiving
    practices to ensure it is fair and equitable

  • Manage, track and report On Time in Full scores, working with brokers and customers to validate and
    minimize OTIF penalties

  • Design and implement OTIF controls and goals to ensure the highest achievable performance on customer
    shipments

  • Work alongside Logistics, Customer Service, Finance and Operational Excellence teams to achieve
    company OTIF goals

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Extensive experience in a related position will be considered in lieu of a
    degree

  • Willingness to challenge existing practices bring forward solutions to improve supply chain/logistics
    performance

  • Excellent communicator with a logical and innovative approach to problem solving

  • Ability to analyze sequence of events and draw conclusions from fact gathering and investigations

  • Strong negotiating and influential communication skills with the ability to achieve resolutions

  • Proven ability to audit complex processes to identify business issues that can be turned into positive
    financial opportunities

  • Strong work ethic and dynamic and enthusiastic to drive performance

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and Power Point

  • Relevant qualifications in project management and experience managing projects and cross functional
    teams

  • Understand the logistics landscape and core supply chain fundamentals
